Hart House
Landing at LAX? Drive right past In-N-Out and go to Hart House. Do not let the fact it is 100% plant-based scare you. If you’re local in Los Angeles, make that drive! I don’t know what Kevin Hart put in this food, but he can have my money every time. In case you didn’t know already Hart House is owned by Kevin Hart. The first time I went, I had the Single Burg’r meal with frots (fries and tater tots). The burger looks tiny, but you will be full. It was so good! Instantly knew I would be back. The second time I had the Deluxe Crispy Chick’n. OMG! It was even better than the Single Burg’r in my opinion. I typically need to use ketchup with all of my chicken sandwiches, vegan or not, but for this, I didn’t feel the need to use ketchup, at all. I could not tell the difference that I was eating something vegan. To be honest, when my order was up, I thought to myself “dang this looks dry”, but as soon as I took the first bite, my eyes popped. I want to go get a Chick’n sandwich from there now, as I am typing this lol. What makes it even better, is that their prices are really great. Very comparable to regular fast food restaurants.
I even took my sister when she was visiting LA and her exact words were “I would prefer this over In-N-Out any day”. That says a lot coming from a non-vegan.
Highly recommend trying their sauces as well. I like the Sweet Heat and Smokey BBQ. As for their drinks, I have mixed the Limeade and Berry Patch together and I love it.
I have yet to try their salads and shakes, but I have heard from Darlynn that their shakes are really good too. I think its safe to say that their salads are probably a hit as well. Below are some pictures I took of the food.
